Perfect Partners : Cold Shoulder Tops & Midi Skirts

Happy Thursday, my dear friends!

How was your week; did it go fast or slow? I felt like it went pretty fast, it feels just like yesterday I was writing last week’s post.

Anyway, I’m switching gears this Thursday, opting for a more relaxed, 90’s inspired outfit. These past two weeks I’ve been feeling all types of edgy, but I am a bit different mood this weekend, a more relaxed one and that’s exactly what I plan to do Friday and Saturday, relax; I am personally not into X’mas & New Years Eve celebrations, so no party plans for me ,haha. I like not to feel any pressure on weekends and kind of go with the flow.

I have been into Metallic lately. I’ve recently picked up a metallic top I am really exited to style it soon. I’ve really never worn metallic before, but they sold on me two things, can you guess? yup, the color and details( I have bought it in grey metallic color with a high color neck & a nice stretchable material, which fits well on me).

Getting back to 90’s vibes of my outfit, I have paired a geometrical print cold shoulder top with a bottle green midi skirt. Off shoulder/ cold shoulder tops are one of those 90’s fashion trends, that I’ve really embarrassed this year. I can’t get over how comfy yet stylish they are! It gives that perfect girly look on any one who wears it. There are many varieties of off shoulder top which are available. Just see before picking. An off shoulder top which fits on your waist suits better with a skirt. And a one with loose fit goes perfect with the denim.

What’s more – the cold shoulder top now has a partner in crime – the high-waist skirt. The two are becoming inseparable – a fashion crime almost in itself to deny the partnership.

You can be as creative as you want with this combo. You can opt for the same color tone, pattern and texture for both items – or you can hint at matching with patterns or colors that are similar. As I did in my outfit. I am not a fan of lot of accessories. At the same time, I love the statement pieces. I wore a maroon thread statement earring with this outfit. They are bold, at the time very light to carry. To complete the look, I wore  heels & a sling bag.
